So much of the partner’s role in birth has been minimized, which has limited their ability to connect and bond with their children. Labor Together is a class that shows  parents how to prepare for childbirth and to do so as a strong unit.

There are ways partners can apply themselves to be a valuable support for moms, and this class is all about highlighting those ways.

In this two hour workshop expecting couples will learn and practice:

1. Ways to keep moms comfortable and relaxed

2. Breathing techniques that help ease labor

3. Touch support and counter pressure

4. Supported postures — kneeling, sitting, and standing — that are optimum for childbirth.

There will be lots of information — and packet of handouts will be provided so couples can review the material after the workshop.

Labor Together gives couples an opportunity to practice, communicate, and establish a dialogue that will help them build confidence in one another.

Partners will have a better idea of what to do when the time comes.

And Moms will know that he’s going to be with her every step of the way.

Demonstrate and practice techniques to keep Mom’s comfortable and relaxed.

We will practice supported postures.
